Vinegar is a natural astringent and will cleanse any wound as well as help heal it. Just dilute 1 part vinegar with 3 parts water. Then pat it over the open abrasion. Try using slightly warm water, this works even better.



Tip 1: Take one piece of Clove (Laung) and suck on it slowly after meals. This gives instant relief and also helps in reducing the onslaught of diseases arising out of acidity.

Cloves have a direct and great impact on the digestive process. They help in building appetite, removing phlegm and also increases the white blood cell count in the body.

Tip1: The raw potato juice therapy is considered one of the most successful biological treatments for rheumatic and arthritic conditions. Cut a medium-sized potato into thin slices, without peeling the skin, and place the slices overnight in a large glass filled with cold water. The water should be drunk in the morning on an empty stomach.

Brittle Nails

Do you have brittle, hard, breakable nails that chip easily?

A teaspoon of olive oil mixed with a few drops of lemon juice will make a potent yet very easy home remedy if used at least two times a week. Massage it into your nails thoroughly, let it soak in, then slip soft manicure gloves on and let the mixture work its magic overnight.



Soaking the affected foot in a solution of baking soda and warm water is said to be effective in removing the dead, hard skin. Add about three tablespoons of baking soda to a tub of warm water and place your foot inside. Massaging the foot with a paste of baking soda and water is also one of the most common home remedies for callus removal.

Vinegar is helpful in treating corns. Rub some vinegar over the affected areas using a cotton ball. Allow it to stay on at night and exfoliate the area the next morning.



Tip 1: Prepare any regular tea by adding 1 tbsp of black pepper powder in a cup of milk along with a pinch of turmeric and small amount of sugar (optional). Drink it once a day for about three days.

Tip 2: Take one glass of warm water and pour some lemon/lime juice and a tsp of honey in it and consume it once or twice on a daily basis. Squeeze 3-4 tsp of juice from an onion. Add 3-4 tsp of Honey and mix well before consuming.



For ordinary constipation, use 10 to 12 large raisins (Munnakka). Wash and remove the seeds from them and boil them with a glass of milk. Once the milk is boiled, eat the raisins first and then follow by drinking the milk. The following day you should have a regular bowel movement.

In case of consistent constipation, continue to follow the above steps/remedy for 3 to 4 days to follow.



Tip 1: Take one glass of warm water and pour some lemon juice and 1 tsp of honey in it and consume it once or twice on a daily basis.

Tip 2: Take 1 tsp of black pepper powder and boil it in a cup of milk. Also add on a pinch of turmeric to it. Put some sugar for taste. Drink it once in a day for about three days.

Tip 3: Use raw liquorice root and boil for 20 min. to make a concoction. Use about 1 cup of water for every four-inch piece of root. Or if you have powdered liquorice root, dissolve ½ tsp in 1 cup hot water. Add honey as desired and drink.

Tip 4: Grapes help a great deal in treating cold in a few days. Consume 1 cup grape juice and also add 1-tsp honey to it.

Tip 5: Soak about 7 to 10 almonds in water and keep them overnight. Next morning peel off the brown skin. Now grind them to form a powder and add twenty grams each of butter and sugar and form a paste. Consume it twice a day , once in the morning and the second time in the evening.



Tip 1: Take a ripe banana and mash it thoroughly, till you have a thick paste. Apply this paste on your dry cracked feet, covering all the lesions completely. Leave the banana pulp on your skin for about 10 to 15 minutes, before rinsing your feet with warm water. This exercise should be followed every week.

Tip 2: Squeeze the juice of a lemon in a basin and add some warm water, a little shampoo and a teaspoon of petroleum jelly. Let your feet soak in this soapy solution for about 15 to 20 minutes, before rinsing and drying your feet.



Add 1 teaspoon of table salt to ½ cup of warm water and stir until the crystals have dissolved. Soak a few gauze pads in the liquid and use these as compresses for your skin. The compress should remain in place for 5-15 minutes. Be sure to rinse your skin with cool water once you remove the compresses. This is a safe home treatment that can help relieve the pain and inflammation caused by cystic acne.



Tip 1: Add a few drops of vinegar and ginger juice to some beetroot juice. Mix the two juices well and lightly massage it into the scalp using a light circular motion.

Tip 2: Apply warm coconut oil mixed with lemon juice to scalp and leave on for about an hour. Leave in hair for 10 min. and then wash well . You can also use olive oil instead of coconut oil.

Take ½ cup fresh strawberries, 1 tablespoon fresh milk and 1 tablespoon rice flour or cornstarch. Mash together all the ingredients to make a smooth paste. Spread over your face and neck and let sit for 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water and pat your skin dry.



Tip 1: Boil 3-4 cloves of garlic in some water. Mash or crush them and add a pinch of salt. Soak this mixture in a flannel or woolen cloth, and place on the aching ear.

Tip 2: Heat a small amount of extra virgin olive oil, and 2 cloves of garlic. Strain the oil and use a dropper and put about 3-5 drops in the paining ear and close with cotton wool.

Tip 3: Squeeze some onion juice from an onion. Warm it up and put a few drops with a dropper or q-tip in the paining ear.

Tip 4: Take 2 cloves of garlic. Remove the skin. In a small pan, place the 2 cloves into 2 spoons of mustard oil and warm it up on low heat. When the garlic starts turning to burn/turn black, turn off the heat. Throw the cloves away. When the oil becomes lukewarm, then using a cotton stub/q-tip, put 2 to 4 drops in the aching ear.

Tip 2: Soak 5 almonds overnight in water (can use equal amount of grounded almonds as well) and taken with a glass of milk.

Tip 1: Carrot seeds are of great value in any case of menopause. In 1 glass of milk, put a tsp of carrot seeds and boil for about 10 min.. Drink everyday.

Tip 2: Liquorice serves as an effective remedy for menopause, as it contains the natural female hormone - estrogen.



Boil a cup full of water. After it becomes lukewarm then mix it with lemon juice squeezed from one half of a fresh lemon. Stir in 2 spoons of pure honey.

Note: While this combination of lemon juice and honey mixed with lukewarm water is a sure remedy for reducing fat, only lemon juice actually increases fat. The honey is usually used to provide a less sour taste.



Make your skin oil free. Slice an apple into pieces, blend it with some honey and apply it on your face. After 20 minutes, gently remove it by washing it off with luke warm water.



Take one tablespoon Mustard oil inside a bowl. Mix one teaspoon of rock salt inside it. Massage your teeth, with the help of the index finger. Leave it for 5-7 minutes. Finally, rinse your mouth with normal water.

Tip 1: In 8 oz of water, put ½ tsp of baking soda and drink it.

Tip 3: Drink Cranberry juice. You can also add some apple juice for taste.



Tip 1: Take 2 cardamoms and roast them on a dry pan (tava). Powder the cardamoms and thereafter add a tsp of honey in it. Consume it frequently. It serves as a fabulous home remedy for vomiting.

Tip 2: In the mixture of 1 tsp of mint juice and 1 tsp lime juice, add ½ tsp of ginger juice and 1 tsp honey. Drink this mixture to prevent vomiting.
